Hi there!!

I too have a high heart rate but I usually end up counting after getting off of a machine, and it is REALLY high. I just generally try to do a slow march on the rest stations to get it back down to a reasonable rate. I generally run in the 80-85% and many times over and have since I started Curves 10 months ago. I am more fit now and the owner tells me it is okay that my rate is in the 80-85% range. I am losing weight and inches, so it is working. I think as long as you listen to your body and don't overdo it you should be fine. You should be able to carry on a conversation while working out at Curves without too much huffing and puffing.

Hope this helps !!!!
