Hey there Eileen

I don't want to burst your bubble or discourage you, but there is almost no possible way that your body fat could have dropped 10% in one month with no change anywhere else. Your body fat percentage represents what percent of your body is made of fat. You can multiply your weight times the percentage reading and find how many body fat pounds you have. Here's the math:

at your first weigh in, you weighed 160 and had 43% body fat. 160 x .43 = 68.8 lbs.

second weigh in, you lost one pound and your body fat was 34%. 159 x .34 = 54

68.8 - 54 = 14.8 body fat pounds.

It's simply not realistic that you could lose nearly 15 pounds of body fat and see no change in your total body weight. You'd have to replace the 15 pounds of body fat with 15 pounds of muscle. I'm not saying it's unlikely to lose 15 pounds (I had one lady at my club lose 17 lbs in one month) but it's unlikely to lose 15 body fat pounds and then GAIN 15 pounds of muscle (which is what you would have had to do for this to make sense)

I'd guess that whoever wrote your measurements down transposed the numbers or mixed you up with someone else. Or the body fat reader went bersek. Who knows. It's possible that your first measurement was wrong in which case you can't go back and correct that one, but have them do it again and igore the first reading and go from there.

Again I don't want to discourage you, but I would definitely bring it to the attention of your Curves and have them re-measure you.

Good luck

Justine
