Subject: Muscle strain?

Hey everyone. Lately (since about Tuesday) I have noticed my knees hurt. It feels like I have over-extended them or something, and the situation only gets aggravated when I am standing or using them lots (which is not good since I work five-hour shifts at a restaurant.) I think this could be partly due to the machines at Curves, but I'm not sure why. I have heard that the squat machine is a little iffy safety-wise, and I don't particularly like it anyways. Could this strain also be due to the other leg machine? (The one where you bend and straighten your leg at the knee.) Also, what can I do to speed up the healing process, apart from resting them? I really don't want bad knees when I'm older! Thanks, guys.
