I think that the way the Oblique is engineered makes it "easier" on one side than the other. The ladies at our club say that, and many of the women on the boards do as well. Just as with any machine, if it feels to easy, move faster! It may seem wrong or weird to move faster in one direction than another, but that will solve the problem.

And with the lower abs, I think that's EVERYONE's problem area! Unfortunately childbirth leaves most of us with stretched and torn muscles that are hard to repair. The oblique machine helps. Try to keep your abdomen tightened and lift your knees high on the recovery stations to target that area (just don't raise your heart rate any more!). Leg lifts help too - lay flat on your back and try to lift your legs up to about a 45 degree angle and hold it there. Repeat.
