It's a GOOD question. so don't apologize ;)

They will measure you in the following places:

Chest, waist, abs, hips, thighs, calves and upper arms.

Basically, wear what you think you will wear each month when they measure you. it doesn't matter if it's shorts and a tank top or a sweat suit, just be consistent and be sure that once you get into the workout in months, that you are measured by the same person. There can be GREAT differences between how two people measure and it's not necessarily getting to a goal measurement, but losing in general, at least that's how I look at it. So if you want to wear shorts each time you get measured (every months as long as you've had at least 12 workouts), that would be ok with them. There are OBVIOUS reasons why women wear the arm-bearing shirts and whatnot....I just try to wear thin clothes, because I can never remember what I wore the last month ;)

They do our measurements right by the front door (not all locations are the same) and I've NEVER thought about being embarassed because no one sees the actual numbers, so having someone put a tape measure around you doesn't seem strange for me, at a fitness club/weight loss center.

Don't be nervous. You're doing a great thing for yourself and you should have fun with it!

Be sure to keep us updated on your progress!
