Sandra don't feel bad at all!!! I know the waiting a year might sound lame but you are considered postpartum for one one full year that is how long it takes your body to recover and get back to normal. My son is 4 months old now, I was going to Curves everyday and I cut all the junkfood out of my diet. I have lost most of the baby weight but I know I will never have the 19 inch waist I once had so I am just working on toning my muscles and I just wear clothes that fit me not clothes that I used to wear and that there makes me look less fat. So many people try to wear clothes that they wore before they were pregnant and they are so tight it makes them look fat even if they are a size 6 but in a size 4. I think you did the right thing by buying new clothes.
I think that was pretty harsh of your doctor though not to offer any advice. My husband is a physician and I know he can't stress enough a healthy diet and exercise. So my point is I think you are heading in the right direction but maybe you should just try to workout more or when you do workout push yourself a little harder and you might want to reevaluate your diet to make sure that isn't the problem. I know you said you were dieting but maybe you can try something different . Whatever you do DON'T TAKE DIET PILLS!!!!! They don't work and so many people think they do. I believe that if you could take a pill to loose weight then no one would be fat but yet we have the highest obesity rate in the world.
