So True! You really shouldn't jump into everything all at once. First get the exercise under control and then add in eating better, and that can even be in baby steps. Who knows, you might find that cutting out white bread and ice cream might be enough to get those pounds off...or if could take a bit more effort....but adding exercise is enough for the first few months. Good addition SG! I actually went about 6 months before starting my dieting and I basically cut back to a "diabetic" diet for the month of march and lost 8.5 pounds. kept my carbs around 180 but ate what I wanted for the most part....doing the Curves diet now, on day 25 and I've lost 8.5 pounds to this point so a little less time but I'm not nearly as happy ;) I MISS my pasta and pizza. never had either very often, but I can't have either right now :( Can't wait for Phase 3 tho....LOL

And I'll stay in a similar area as SG and say it's the best decision I've made aside from Moving to seattle and meeting my boyfriend. He's too damn cheap to get me a ring yet....4 years! but I'm not worried ;) He's working on it now and while the one I really want is a bit more than he has, it doesn't matter what he gives me, it means the same thing! a cigar band would work....LOL
