Hi Liz! I have been hoping to find a Curves forum and let everyone know my results! One month ago I went to my doctor because my blood pressure, which I monitor regularly, had skyrocketed up to 152/95!! I have been a member of Curves for a year and a half, but I hadn't gone since last December. Guilt wasn't enough to get me going again, but my blood pressure was. My doctor told me to go back to Curves for one month and then come back and we would see how I was doing. So, I found a new much more convenient Curves which had just opened down the street from where I work & I've gone regularly for four weeks. When I went to the doctor yesterday, my blood pressure was 132/75!! Down 20 points!! We were both elated and the other new members at the Curves I'm going to were so supportive and happy for me!! This is just great. Although I haven't lost any weight, which I would like to do, my doctor told me that it's better for my heart to be exercising without losing weight than it would be for me to lose weight without exercising. So, no medication for me and she said to keep going to Curves! I couldn't ask for a better incentive! Plus I just feel so much better and stronger now -- it's nice just to be able to easily lift a heavy bag of groceries. Anyway - I could go on and on, but as long as there is a Curves around, I'll be a lifetime member!
