What is a pad? What types of machines are available? I'm surprised the ubiquitous treadmill is not.

Another question -- are you *limited* to 30 minutes three times a week or can you do as much as you want.

I've just discovered Curves and am very interested. I haven't yet investigated a local shop. I've learned a lot today from reading this board.
