Subject: heart rate too high

Hello,

I joined Curves last week and just had my 4th workout today. I'm 30 years old and my optimal workout heartrate is 22. However, it's usually 27-28 when I workout. I'm 5'9 and weigh 155 lbs (was 146 lbs six months ago which is why I signed up before this got out of hand!)and never exercised before this. I try to go easy on the recovery boards but I push myself somewhat on the machines. I get a little winded but not too bad. My hr is higher after I get off a machine. I understand that my hr can be elevated if I'm not used to working out but when I can I start to see it going down? I think part of it is also I get so worried about my hr going over that my heart beats faster lol. What are your thoughts? Thanks!

Mo
