It is somewhat restrictive but the point is that it's a diet that you actually get off of, as opposed to other diets where you make large sacrificed but you can NEVER get "off" the diet or else you will put the weight back on and then some. I'm starting the diet on Monday as part of the 6-week challenge and so far, I've figured out that I'll probably eat a LOT! Just no refined carbs which is ok with me, for at least a few months. What you also have to remember is that it's 20 carbs of things that aren't "free" like salads, various other veggies, one curves shake a day (which has 20 carbs alone) etc. And most meats don't have carbs anyway, so you can fill up on salads and cheeses and meats and believe me, you won't be hungry.

I've been doing lowered carbs all months and have lost 5-6.5 pounds (depending on when you put me on the scale ;) and I've totally pigged out on a few days. That might be a better option. I ate 100% whole wheat bread on (oroweat lite is GREAT!) and tried to get in a lot more greens....and that might work for you.

Also if you don't feel you are carb addicted, the calorie style Curves diet might be for you. Once you subtract all the free foods, you probably eat between 1500-2000 calories a day and can have up to 60g of carbs that aren't in free foods.

Talk to the ladies at your curves and buy a workbook if they offer them and check it out. you might be surprised!

Have a great workout!
