Curves is required to play music with 140 beats per minute or more to aid in keeping your workout upbeat. So there will be some disco involved but they also have Oldies, more recent pop, and tons of other music. it does vary from location to location.

Just remember you are only there for 30-45 minutes, 3 times a week, so you should be able to deal with whatever is on. I can't say I like what my club plays 100% of the time, but I'm not there for the music....
