>dear coli, you are a piece of work! i have never even hinted that people should avoid curves, my only point is curves has a duty to be good neighbors!
you are in a "sound" business, you should be fair to your neighbors.
i think it's interesting that curves clients also want different music than the kind you hear at traditional health clubs.
of course i've made my feelings known to the landlord, the curves owners, corporate curves, local authorities and lawyers. it is not an easy battle, but in the end justice will prevail. i think the problem has gotten so bad that you will soon see this documented on one of the national news programs. unless curves becomes more neighbor friendly, the news coverage will leave curves with a black eye.

in your response to jan, you stated that jan should tolerate the annoying thumping for 30 minutes, what about the neighbor who has to listen to it all day, every day?
here is what you wrote:
Jan S. 's message, "Type of music that's played at Curves?" on 00:11:42 02/17/03 Mon

Curves is required to play music with 140 beats per minute or more to aid in keeping your workout upbeat. So
there will be some disco involved but they also have Oldies, more recent pop, and tons of other music. it does
vary from location to location.

Just remember you are only there for 30-45 minutes, 3 times a week, so you should be able to deal with
whatever is on. I can't say I like what my club plays 100% of the time, but I'm not there for the music....

Have a great workout!
