Subject: Curves hits the nail right on the head!

I visited the Curves website yesterday and viewed the commercials - you know, they made me cry; those commercials zeroed right in on how I have been feeling and why I joined . I never saw those commercials before - are they on TV? - truly, they are amazing, but so is Curves.

I love the whole premise behind this exercise facility - real people helping each other. I have been a member for approximately 2 months and I am loving it. It is the first time I am enjoying myself at an exercise facility and the first time I don't have to drag myself to get out and exercise (well, maybe sometimes - old habits are hard to get rid of!). The environment and atmosphere is low-keyed, non-intimidating, and non-competitive - it is a beautiful thing to be among others who are free with the compliments and encouraging words.

I'm a tough nut to crack for there are habits I am stubbornly hanging on to - overeating and grande portion sizes, to name a few -- a pint of ice cream is one serving, right? a box of spaghetti is one serving, right? However, in spite of my over-indulgent eating habits, I am losing inches and body fat. Now, I'm not saying I can have my cake and eat it, too - I am well-aware of the necessity of moderation, however, until I can get to that point (one thing at a time - it's a miracle I'm moving my body on a regular basis), Curves is giving me a great start and a great incentive to make positive changes.
