Well, it's kind of hard to write it all down. I'll try to explain of few, though.

Squat machine: Push up fast and then spell out (in your mind) S-L-O-W on the way down. That way you force yourself to go down slower. (We used to go as fast as we could)

Hip abduction machine: Bend you knees slightly, go all the way out as far as you can and then bring it all the way in. It doesn't matter if you go fast on this one. (We used to go as fast as we could)

Leg press: Press out fast and then slowly come back in.

Hamstring press (not sure this is really what it is called):
Push backwards fast, then let it down slow.


There are a few others but they are too hard to explain by writing it down

So basically, instead of doing things as fast as you can, my manager said it is more beneficial to do it fast while you push and then slow it down when you are coming back to the starting position. This keeps the machine from creating momentum.


You might have been doing these things all along but at my club, we weren't.
