] Date Posted: 08:21:43 05/26/06 Fri I am looking for vets who were on the AFB 1966-67. My dad was in the tower and was exposed to agent orange. He is having many health problems - type 2 diabetes, prostate cancer, and immune system shut down. We are trying to get his appeal together and trying to get any information that might be out there. If you have any information please email. Thanks, Sandy [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |

My brother-in-law was stationed there, he now has Non- Hodgkins Lymphoma, which moved to his brain. His job duties as much as I can determine is that he washed planes and loaded them with bombs. He spent a lot of time on the runways. I know AO was used as defolient at some bases. Were waiting for his records to be sent from St. Louis. Please help. I was in Tiger Flight(Base Security) and was all over the base and perimeter. I now have Type 2 diabetes, nueropathy in feet, legs and hands, had a heart stint in 03, high blood pressure, thyroid problems, enlarged prostrate, severe arthritis, reflux, anemic, depression, dizziness and trouble keeping balance when walking(now using cane)all of which I am taking medication for(15 perscriptions daily). The perimeter was clear of foliage, plus we were sprayed constanly for whatever. I couldn't even get an ID card for the VA because I "made too much money" at the time I applied. I am planning on try again soon and would like to know any info about Agent Orange or any other chemicals used at Korat. I can't furnish any pictures because my "Teelok" kept mine and was supposed to mail to me. She didn't! Good luck and send me anything you find that will help. Date Posted: 16:54:36 11/17/06 Fri I was at Korat 4/65 to 4/66. 1st I seem to have trouble getting into some sites related to the Korat Agent Orange problem and last week got Hacked but appears only when going into the VSPA site (site for Air Police etc). Wonder what is going on. I am healthy right now but have a major shoulder pain affecting my right bicep. Cause I am 64 or is it something else? I under go yearly tests and am keeping up on the AO stuff. I patrolled the jungle and flight line so how am I to escape this mess? Probably not. I see we still weren't there but can be noted as having been "in country" even if we only visited Republic of Vietnam. WELL I for one stopped (visited) at DaNang when leaving Korat thus I was "in country" per something noted as 38 C.F.R. s 3.307 (a)(6)(iii). Pass this on to those that can help - I will. Short and sweet - when I got to Korat I stayed at the Army Camp and saw vegitation, snakes, etc. but when we were set up at the Air Base all vegitation was gone along with the ground bugs and snakes etc. I saw snakes but only when I patrolled the Jungle, not on base. Maybe some of the guys from the tower have decent photo's to share. All I have left is the memory of the bare grounds yards beyond the perimeter. I used to have a photo of myself and another sky cop leaning on pallets next to barrels at the end of the flight apron near the Army choppers. Will keep looking and the more of us that can come up with bits of info to share the better the picture will get. Easy for me to say but keep your chin up. >I am looking for vets who were on the AFB 1966-67. Flightline F105's. I have a rare form of Parkinsons, the people at the Mayo Clinic think it may be herbicide related The Flightline was defoliated and we ate the local fruit. My children both had birth defects. No history of Parkinsons or birth defects in our family history. Bob [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

I also saw C123's flting in the area. DoD reports AO in Thailand, but the dates are 1989 on. I woud sure like to find more evidence that AO was definately used there!
