Have seen this same picture on a building out side of than sanut Vietnam in picture Dennis Cooke displayed on VSPA site. And beside this barrel are others marked in colors of pink, blue.green, purple and one with a small orange ring about mid way. Now I'm colored blind to a degree but I could make out the colors.CIA was on NKP and they flew regular out of there on hellis and fixed wing 2 engine air craft that looked like c123.I and a large group went to a SF camp that was in the middle of the mekong river at the LOAS and Cambodian borders tpo train with SF men to be prepared to go to Phenom Phen to resuce the embassy personel and other American Civilians and I have pictures of goin ther twice. The Captian of SF told us that if we had vistors of the bad type crosed over from the area towards Vietnam we would have to fight swim or die in trying to escape back to Thialand. The only way ther was by helicopter so we carried needed supplies of cement that they needed to build protective places for traing insurgents and that we could not take pictures of any asian personnel. There were no written orders becuse this place was nonexsitence as far as the goverment was concerned. An so is the agents that were used and they only let Thais apply these chemicals they would dust every other day in our hutches with apowder and the next time would be with a liquid form that would take tour breath away.It gave me blisters in my nose and the area spraying of the perimeter and any other area men were at at night time pulling duty to keep the mosqitoes under control so as we would not contract malaria even though you took a quine tablet every day. But there is one VERY IMPORTANT fact that sbeen missed any one who went threwAZR training at Medina annex next to Lackland was exposed to radiation contaiminated soil because of a nuclear accident at one of bunkers was blown up and the blast destroyed bunker in the late 50's or early 60's.It was not anuclear blast but the explosives that set of the nuclear reaction went ofcausing a radiatin leak. Any one who worked Sac security knows that danger thats why we had drills to know where to put up the intial corodon and if went hot as beening dirty you had to the next amount of area that you would have to set up and evactuwait. This should be hard to prove by looking up in the Santonio news papers. I saw the destoyed bunker area when I went to AZr in Setptember of 72. THanks to everyone who's tried to help. My cliam has been remanded back to Claims center for further study By the BVA.I should hear from them soon and if I win Illtry to help others mine's 6 years old. And I intend to win thats what the Air Force taught me. TIM [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |

TIM Tim I was sent to Lackland AFB in 69 for some kind of training with heavey weopons. I beleieved it to be called Camp Bullock or something like that, been a long time (CRS) never new of any atomic acciddent there? Anyway went from there to U-Tapoa AFB Thailand in March of 69 served with the 635th Security Police Sq. Til March of 70.While at U-Tapoa I had a bunch of differant dutys there, Guard towers, runway guard, mortor pit, bunker pit, and patrol duties with, armorded personel carries, V-100s i beleive they were called, drove them all, jeeps with 50 cals on them with no ammo for them and most with m-60s with ammo. But the best job I had there was getting the Thai Guards and SP there box lunches and wrapped up Thai food for the RTG, had that job for almost 9 months before coming back to the states. Anyway heres my story of Herbisides at U-Tapoa. The perimiter of the base, and in other areas were void of any growth what so ever. I seen with my own eyes the spraying of some kind of defoliant with what looked like a tank truck with a high pressure sprayer on it, it could spray at least a 100 ft. As it did to keep a 100ft. fire zone around the perimiter of the base. This stuff was also sprayed on all the bunkers and mortor pits. anywhere there was need for a no vegetion. It was used widely all over the base. If I remember correctly it was a orange/yellow color. Also I remember the spraying for bugs at night all through out the base at night. I have just been diagnosed with type 2 dibetes in Jan 06, also have had 2 cancer operations on the skin, melignent malinoma, and carcinoma Spelling sucks. I need proof that the stuff they spayed at the base U-Tapao was indeed agent orange, any help would be appiceated. Thanks hddocfl@aol.com [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
