Subject: PFC Stephen McCorkle

Stephen McCorkle was my cousin. He served in Mike Co 3rd Battalion 1st Marines 1st Marine Division. He died on Feb 18th 1967 when a sniper's bullet hit one of his granades. He wasn't in country very long. I am looking for information about how he died. I was 12 then. My family didn't believe in dwelling on things and didn't talk about what happened. I never got to say good bye to him or tell him that I loved him. I guess finding out what happened is my way of finally getting closure. If anyone remembers him I would appreciate hearing from them.
