It was great to meet you this last weekend. Sorry it was under these circumstances. I knew when I saw your CT scan around the firepit that you had a comminuted (shattered) humeral head fracture and would most likely require a shoulder arthroplasty. Very sorry to hear. I work as an assistant to physician, namely in the field of orthopedics as well as other medical specialties have access to shoulder specialists if you want second and third opinions before considering the arthroplasty. I agree it's always a good idea to get a few opinions before considering a procedure of this type (unlike an arthoscopy). I have a shoulder specialist in Rancho Cucamonga and another in Santa Ana (not sure where you live). Let me know and I'll get the ball rolling for you. Great news to hear you made it back home without incident.
