Went to USC yesterday. This dr. said because of Kevin's age he would hate to have to put in the replacement part. He wants to open him up and then decide whether he can rebuild him or put in the metal part. He was not very hopeful about rebuiding though from looking at the x-rays.
Kevin is leaning towards the replacement part becuase even if they rebuilt him it might not work and they would have to then open him up again and do what they could've done the first time around. He of course wants to do whatever will be the shortest recovery time and that looks like the replacement part. We may go to UCLA the end of the week or he may just end the craziness and go with the local dr. who does only shoulders and Kevin really liked him. He can do the surgery next week.
