RHINOS ARE AWESOME at Monache Staging area. There are miles and miles of Rhionos trails, (jeeps trails).
Tim Scott and I have both taken our Rhinos up there and had a blast with them. The Monache staging area has a 7 mile jeep trail (very fun on the rhinos, jeeps, quads) and you end up at the kern river in the middle of Monache Meadows. The vistas a breathtaking and from monache medows you can take more jeep trails to the back of the meadows for some fun exploring. We took the rhinos through the kern river, that was a blast!
You wont get a ticket form the rangers. All green / red stickered vehichles are ok on the jeep trails.
Cari even driove the rhinos with the kids in them past rangers multiple times.
The monache staging area is the ONLY place in all fo Kennedy Meadows that you would even be able to find any rhino riding at all. Trust me, its great.
Funny story... on our last trip, the trailer was so loaded on the way UP the 9 mile canyon hill, that we took the rhino OUT of the toy hauler and cari drove it up the mountain, in front of the truck at about midnight for the last 3 miles up the hill. We loaded it back in the toy hauler and continued on.
