 Bikes will run richer at the high altitude. When I had a KDX I would drop the needle for Kennedy Meadows. Some guys drop down one size on the main jet but the needle dropping works better because most of the riding is second gear half-throttle (for me). With my current bike (95 WR250) I don't change anything but I bring plenty of spare sparkplugs.
