Thanks Alan.
Looks like your worm has turned!!!
Had you thought of powering it - might save repetitive strain injury to your winding arm?

You probably had a chance to catch up on all the other keel related jobs when you fitted your winch.
I found that when the ST steel 'box' on top of keel was fitted they cut out a 22 x 15 inch section part of which held the pin. This was 'free floating' ie retained by the pin! Problem was that to sort it out had to remove the cut out panel ( while boat aground alongside Dell Quay) and pin assumed a 30Deg angle. This meant that once the generous greasing for the keel had been removed from the panel mating faces we couldnt get it back to bond in and tape joints. Fortunately the slots worn in the pin hole gave us about 10 minutes of free pin movement as she rose on the tide before the keel was lifted as well.

Am leaving her there today to allow epoxy to really harden off before using hydraulics for first time and will try to get her back on mooring Monday.

Cheers

Paul
