Erm, no.

The fact that the lining isn't structural and is simply spaced off the coachroof by fillets of timber doesn't mean that the deck isn't balsa cored.

It simply means the lining is spaced off the coachroof by timber fillets.

The two issues are not connected.

I don't know if the deck sections are balsa cored or not, but the way the lining is fixed has nothing whatsoever to do with it.
