Subject: Trapper 500 spinnaker rigging

I have purchased a full sized spinnaker and pole for my late Trapper 500 (with 501 internal layout). I am interested in what owners might recommend for the uphaul and downhaul rigging, ie led back to cockpit or mast-foot cleating arangements and in particular where to anchor the downhaul? Also there is little room for mounting the winches for the spinnaker sheets aft of the genoa winches. I would be most greatful if owners experience on these issues are shared.

We race the boat in Weymouth/Portand harbour every week for 6 months of the year and have found that without the spinnacker we are usually dissadvantaged on handicap on long downwind legs. Upwind we hold our handicap well.
Thank you
John Beresford
