Bit puzzled by your message. Why do you want to remove the sea-cocks? I look at all mine each winter when the boat is out of the water. The screw type gate valves generally don't require much attention other than making sure they operate OK & visual check for corrosion or cracking. It would be necessary to replace gland packing if they had been leaking but in 27 years I have not had to do this yet! The plug type valves are taken apart & greased. You have to re-assemble them carefully with just the right amount of tightness so they don't leak, but are still easy to operate.

Interested in your engine replacement. I may have to do mine. (I thought Beta engines were either 10, 13.5, or 20HP?).
