Having bitten the bullet and decided to fit an electric windlass to my T500 "Eun Mara", I am now presented with the problem of where to fit it. Living on a mooring I keep my Bruce anchor stored in the anchor locker and I don't want to intrude on the locker space. It would appear the best way would be to fit a Quick Rider 712 180deg vertical unit without hawsepipe, aft of the anchor locker and let the chain spill into the locker, with perhaps a little assistance from my foot. I think any unit with a hawsepipe mounted aft of the locker would mean fitting a pipe in the fcsle leading into the chain locker which is not really deep enough to allow jam free (25M + rope)chain reception.
I would be grateful for any info from anyone who has fitted one.
