Star Trapper - now in its' 21st season with me, has always "eaten" anodes despite taking all the recommended precautions. I have two on the prop shaft plus a third I put over the side when moored, connected to the engine block. I also check the engine anode very carefully.

I am berthed,in the Hamble close to plenty of shore powered boats which I am sure contribute to the problem.

Regarding cockpit drain sea cocks mine are left open for obvious reasons but I check annually that they will close, & dissassemeble every now and agin just to be sure.
