I finally got Nidri off the mooring this weekend and went for a spin round the Solent. I noticed that the lee shrouds went slack in only a light breeze, and that was with a working jib rather than the genoa. The forstay sag was quite large and hence she didn't sail upwind very well at all.

Can anyone offer any advice as to how to correctly tension the rig?

Also, is it only my boat that tends to "creak"? The internal moulding makes quite a noise at times. The plywood bulkheads seam to generate the noise where they can move in the moulded channels of the headlining moulding.

Regards

Giles
