What type of 18 hp engine will fit ina Trapper 28. I was offered a Volvo Penta 18hp twin with a large fly wheel on the front and there was no way it was going to fit. I was advised that a yanmar 1gm 10 was an ideal fit. I plan to remove my 13 hp dolphin petrol which pushed us along very well in all condtions when it ran that is and replace it with a yanmar. I currently have a two blade prop on a 15mm shart. Dose the T500 have more engine space than the T28 and is the yanmar a good choice
