Nick

On the 500 I had there was about 4" between the moulding and the hull. The access was adequate to sevice the seacocks (boat out of water) which were Blakes taper type

When I bought the boat these were wired shut as it had a (u/s) chemical toilet. Consequently they were siezed, and needed careful work to free. Needs correct spanners, I am not sure now, but think they were bsf threads.
What I found difficult was fitting new hoses (metric) to the stopcocks, there being not enough room to be able to heat the hoses sufficiently to get them far enough on to seat two hose clips.

I also suspect that these seacocks are prone to being overtightened.

There is not enough room to contemplate emergency wooden plugs.

The stopcock for the washbasin had lots of room for easy access.
