I have a question for someone with access to their T500 - mine is 700km distant.

I am renewing my washboards and am utilising some marine ply I already have. However, it is only 10mm thick while the original is 12mm. I intend to face the externally-facing side with some 6mm thick teak strips. As I do not have the measurement of the slot within which the boards run (I did note it but left it on board) I am unsure if I can teak face to the edge and leave, face to the edge and plane down a mm or two, or start only at the exposed area, circa 25mm in from the side edges. I realise I should have some play for expansion but could some kind person measure the actual slot width for me.

Many thanks in anticipation.
