I replaced all the cockpit drain hoses and clips a couple of years ago (501 Alkanet) and the only way I could do it was from the s'board cockpit locker by lying in it and reaching under the cockpit sole. Pig of a job! Essential to soften the hose ends by immersing in boiling/hot water just before pushing on as you cannot get a decent purchase at arms length.
