Hi All,

Have been struggling with Honda 10hp of 80's vintage but good condition. Took two of us to lift it into the well with much rocking and swiveling. ( Thanks Brian! hope you didnt get a hernia.)

Have decided I must trade it in for lighter unit with tighter dimensions so that I can easily fit it myself under most conditions. Since mud berth cannot even leave it in position once fitted.

Can anyone advise from their experience on suitable units (Size/weight/performance/reliability). Is a long shaft best?

My sailing will encompas 6knot ebb tides in the harbour and coastal cruising.

I dont mind mixing Two stroke fuel ( particularly since there is a price advantage!!) Or perhaps I need persuading of the merits of 4 stroke?

PS Have now sailed boat for first time - what delightful balance and feel with ( with rudder blade fully forward)
