Frank,
Having followed the diversions into sea cocks from paddle wheels this new TS 240 sailor spent a lot of time today trying to free the 38mm toilet outlet sea cock, a Blakes type. No prob with the 19mm inlet once handle tapped firmly but neither tapping the handle nor the 'rod up inside' has worked, though hammer swinging (3lb) is limited by proximity of road trailer on which boat is jacked up for winter. Can you enlighten me on your 'hot spanner' technique. ( TS 240's dont have donks so diesel oil will have to be acquired if necessary!!).
Thanks in anticipation.
Paul
