Yes I'm glad boat is out of water. Lying under it trying to knock hell out of the seacock would probably need gills and some serious weight lifting abilities as the boat sank on me!
Joking apart, Franks last mail sums up prob.I dont like the blow torch solution but it may be the answer. Will try diesel as penetrant lubricant (WD 40 useless!!)followed by rod up from under. The handle can be made to move 5 degrees but needs a lot of thumping which implies this is not the way to go.
Many thanks your advice - will let you know how (if ever) I succeed.
