The log impellor on my Trapper was under the port bunk just aft of the main bulkhead. Could not have been affected by prop turbulence.

Remember, that boat has a 20 hp Beta, with a large fixed three blader, with a prop that looks like it came off a narrow boat.

My previous boat to that was a Hustler 25.5 with a two blade fixed, with rather narrow blades. Did not notice the effect of fixed or frewheeling with that boat.

Did not check with GPS as the effect of putting in reverse was instant and noticable.
