Oh yes, I realise that about the luff Graham. My surprise was about the use of it for cruising initially but more so about having them on the leech, which I'd never heard of before.

My sail cover was originally designed for the sail being stored rolled on the boom. I don't use it though, I've found it an excellent way to store the sail, just a bit harder to raise it from there. Perhaps that is just me being a bit uncordinated, though having slides and not a rope luff certainly complicates it.
