Brian

At 2000 rpm, about 4.4knts, my rudder goes 40 odd degrees to port in about 4 seconds.

With the engine off, no sails set, it does not move with either the prop freewheeling or locked.

As the sailing behavior is acceptable, i.e. some weather helm, and other T500's do not seem to have such characteristics, I can only assume that the engine/prop combination fitted is less than ideal.

Problem is, altering props is expensive, especially as I simply don't know what should be done.

Anybody got any ideas?

I have a Davis Tiller Tamer on order.
