To answer with respect to the T500. No. Yes.

It really is a silly design, from the extreme rudder profile beyond LWL, to the swan neck of the tiller that sweeps the cockpit sole when going about or tight manoeuvring. However, a lot was cured with the T501 with a short tiller above the rudder stock. There is a good argument to fit a wheel to the T500, despite the relatively small size of the yacht. But we learn to live with what is a minor disadvantage, after all, what boat is perfect?

Now battening down all hatches for the expected broadsides.
