Hi,

Forgot about rig-tuning, I am absolutely not an expert here, but because of the simplicity of the rig on a T28 (the cap-stays and inner-shrouds are in a horizontal line with no fore/aft control, i.e. the rigging is in 90 degree phase) there is not a lot you can really do.

I run with a really minimal amount of mast rake and the only other control you have in fore/aft plane is the backstay tensioner (I always wind mine up pretty hard to keep the forestay tight).

Regarding the cap-stays and inner-shrouds, I tweak mine so that in a stiff breeze (15k-20k wind) when running close hauled, the leeward side ones are both just going slack.

Of course I don't race mine so I could be setting it up completely wrong ... but I can still beat T501's to windward ;^)

Regards, Brian ("Blazer" 1970 T28)

P.S. What are you thinking of doing with your interior ?
