Happy new year to you too, Poul.

I changed my T500 fuel tank some years back, I now have one of 55 litres in stainless steel. The increased capacity was achieved from a greater fore/aft dimension, mounted in the same position as the original, using the same deck filler. The mounting brackets have to be beefed up but are fixed to the cabin bulkhead as before. Don't forget to keep the outlet above the base to let the inevitable gunge settle below that level.

What is noticeable now is the weight distribution; the extra fuel when the tank is full, together with all the ground tackle that I have in the starboard cockpit locker and an extra 20 litre jerrycan of diesel, is never compensated by the two water tanks I have on the port side under the two saloon seats, even when full with 100 litres of water. But we do sail very well on starboard tack!

Good luck with the modification.

Best,

Brian.
