Subject: bleeding during sex

I am 41. No children, I take birth control pills. For the last year or so, I have had a problem with bleeding during sex. I have seen the doctor several times, and he says I have cervicitis. He prescribed a vaginal cream (Relagard) that helps but doesn't make the problem go away. I can't even have sex for a minute or two before the bleeding starts. It's a lot of very red blood (like at the start of your period) and it takes all day for it to subside. My husband has a normal sized penis (in my eyes) and we don't do anything weird. This is ruining my life. Neither one of us can tell what the problem is. HELP!
