Subject: 3 weeks into recovery...

This board is awesome!! I have been reading posts prior to my surgery and have been coming back ever since. I love the information and help you all give. I had a total Vaginal Hysterectomy (I still have one ovary) on 11/14/2006. I was off and running the same day. Ok I was on alot of drugs LOL but even after that I was doing good! I never had any real problems except for the bleeding which lasted 2.5 weeks straight. I was out dancing and having fun after a week. (I am not one to really sit still can you tell?) I have permission to be off from work until the 8th of January, but I got sick of sitting at home and gaining weight so at my 2 week check up I talked my Dr. into letting me back at work. I have restrictions of course, can't lift over 20#'s and can only work 4 hours at a time. I work retail stocking shelves. Anyway.. I pretty much thought 4 hours was going to be a piece of cake. Well was I wrong!! All my feeling good and bragging about being up and about so soon just bit me where the sun don't shine!! At the end of my 4 hour shift I thought I was going to die. I have sharp pains not in my belly where you would think, but in my crotch. It's really wierd. You would think it would be in your stomach area right? Well back on the pain killers and so much for thinking I am superwoman! I am still going to continue to work, just not going to push it so hard tonight. I do have a question tho ....

I still expierence some wierd feeling in my belly. I can only explain it as being compared to having contractions when you are in labor. It don't hurt, but it feels like it gets tight. Has anyone else had that?
