Subject: Hyperplasia, surgery? what will I ask?

I am due to return to gynae on 10/1/07 to discuss options and my condition. I have had post menopausal bleeding for 8 months. So far I have had 2 curettes, a hysteroscopy (during which they found hyperplasia) and a Mirena inserted (October). The Mirena has helped but Im still getting occasional days of bleeding and others with slight brownish discharge.
I am being treated as a public patient in a public hospital(so no cost) and with only 2 days to my appointment I'm getting worried. I have been told because of the risk of cancer developing I would get priority on the waiting list. Because I've had 3 natural births any hysterectomy would be performed vaginally but I would prefer laproscopy because it's less invasive. I feel that because I am being treated as a public patient, or because this doctor prefers it, I am being told the vaginal method is the way to go.
I've heard there can be damage to urethra etc. Should I insist I wait longer? Please advise me about what questions to ask him?
