Hi again,
I had a full abdominal surgery. I had everything taken. Recovery was fairly easy. I was up and about and moving around the next day. So long as you have someone to help you when your back home and you don't try to over do it with chores etc you will be fine.
Rest in bed each day have a friend or family member to help you for the first week or two. Pre cook the meals so the family can just heat up meals. Don't stretch, pull or push and don't lift anything heavy.
Just rest, rest and more rest for the first couple of weeks, then you can walk further and further each day, until you feel your strength is back.
As a general rule, full recovery is about 8 weeks, then you should be fit as a fiddle.
hope this helps.
Jill
