Hi Maria! I had a complete abdominal hysterectomy on 11/29/06. I was worried about the same things that are going through your mind too.(especially because Im 29 years old.) But I have actually lost weight, 25 pounds!, and the whole menopause thing has not been bad for me. I use the Vivel patch for HRT, and I love it! I also love not having my period anymore! I know that may sound strange, but I was at the point before my surgery that my periods were horrible and painful! So anyway, I guess what Im trying to say, is just take it easy and one day at a time. Everything should work out! Best of luck on your surgery!
