I had a hysterectomy 41/2 weeks ago and they removed a lot of adenomyosis tissue as well a lot scar tissue (adhesions caused by having previous surgerys in the same location. They also found a lot of cysts and found that I had endometriosis really bad as well as a large uterus. This helped me with my problems. I have a friend that is going to have a myomectomy or laprotomy of the uterus and to take endometrial tissue out and other stuff that is causing problems. I told her she should have had the whole surgery and keep one ovary if she wanted to. SHe is 46 years old and is single and isn't planning on having children so the Hysterectomy would solve all of her problems . But she has a negative outlook on it. I know it is her opinion but she has been suffering so much every month with her period that last 2 weeks of heavy bleeding and miserable cramps. So we shall see how she does with her laprotomy.I am praying for her to get better soon. Always Bernie
