I had my hysterectomy before I found this board. I was 46 and my uterus was making me miserable. My gyn. wanted to take my ovaries as he seemed to think I didn't need them. But I said, if they are healthy, leave them. They were and he did. I went through some emotional stuff at first as my hormones adjusted, but that didn't last, until menopause, but that's a different story! Anyway, before the hysterctomy, I was having problems with climaxing and low libido. Now no problem. Mine is a positive story. I don't miss that sick uterus at all. I am 53 now.
