Hi my name is Bernie it has been 8 weeks since I had my Total Abdominal Hysterectomy. I had a relatively good expereience from my surgery. I no longer have to suffer through horrendous back pain during my periods and heavy bleeding. I am doing well. My 1st week after surgery was hard but after that it was smooth sailing. I was so glad that I had it done. I am on the hormone patch to replace the estrogen that my ovarys used to produce. I have had some hot flashes but not to bad. good luck with your surgery. keep us all posted on your progress. from Bernie
